Give the gift of HORSEPOWER. A Run-A-Locomotive Gift Certificate is an amazing thing to find in your birthday card or Christmas stocking.
After ordering, a Gift Certificate and information letter will be mailed to you. When ordering please include who the certificate is for and who it is from.
The letter will include information on reserving the RAL session and other details. Note the 2025 Run A Locomotive season runs from May 24 to October 4, 2025. A standard RAL session is one (1) hour long. Ask about longer sessions or multiple locomotives when confirming your reservation.
Also, consider adding an FRRS Membership to your gift! Members get discounts on Run-A-Locomotive sessions, free museum admission and museum store discounts. Consider membership with your order. Our World Famous "Run-A-Locomotive" program allows you, our visiting public, to rent a vintage diesel locomotive and operate it on the museum grounds, under the close supervision of your own private instructor. Relive a childhood fantasy! No experience required, just an adventurous mind. Income from locomotive rentals helps fund the restoration of our historic equipment.
